It's been a while since I went on a weekend beach trip so when my dear cousin asked me to go with her to Moalboal, I instantly said yes. We didn't plan anything big because all we wanted was just to chill and relax at the beach. We just made sure that we had a nice play to stay so she booked us a room at the Archery-Asia Nipa Huts & Camping in Barangay Tuble, Moalboal.
To get there, we rode a bus at the Cebu South Bus Terminal and took the Bato via Barili trip. After three hours, we dropped off Barangay Poblacion in Moalboal. If you're not familiar, just inform the bus conductor to drop you off at Three Sixty Pharmacy in Moalboal. From there, we rode a tricycle and told the driver to take us to Archery-Asia. The pakyaw fare was Php 120.
When we arrived, we were greeted with a courteous smile from their front desk officer and we checked in our room immediately. We had the Kingfisher room and it was perfect for us. The room was Php 1200 for one night. Honestly, it's quite expensive considering that it's far from the beach area. The room price does not include any free breakfast but I hope they can work on that soon. Also, there are no air-conditioned rooms but it gets cold in the night so it's totally okay. The toilet and shower rooms are shared among all guests but we didn't have a problem with it because they were well-maintained.
Archery-Asia is a unique place to stay in Moalboal because of the nipa huts. They have double and single nipa huts for those who will be staying with someone or for those who are staying alone. The single nipa huts are so cute by the way. Haha. They also have tents or you can setup your own if you have one.
There are only a few huts at Archery-Asia but that's what made me like the place. It was so peaceful and quiet, it was definitely the perfect choice for our trip. We also rented a motorcycle for Php 400/24 hours. We used it to go around Moalboal since it's easier than hiring a tricycle and paying Php 120 for each trip. So if you're planning to stay here, I suggest you bring someone who knows how to drive or you yourself knows how. Lol.
The only thing that I believe Archery-Asia should work on is their restaurant. They only serve breakfast meals and serves it until lunch time only. So you will have to go outside again to have dinner. Although they have noodles available but I don't think that will really be enough, right? So yeah, I hope they improve that and offer all-day meals so that the guests won't be inconvenienced when looking for something to eat.
We had a lovely stay at Archery-Asia Nipa Huts & Camping and I genuinely recommend this to anyone who's looking for a place to stay in Moalboal. And oh, yes they do have an archery range with various archery equipment if you're interested. We were not able to try it since it wasn't part of our plan but maybe next time, eh?

Ang ganda ng accommodations! Pero agree ako na pricey siya for P1200 then no beachfront, breakfast and aircon. But super cute ng nipa huts so it's worth a try!
ReplyDeleteYup! And since the place offered a "serene getaway", pasok na din! Haha. Hope you can try this place when you go back to Cebu, B! :)
DeleteNot so nice naman ang by the beach front sa moalboal kasi hindi strict ang policeforce regulation so maingay ang mga karaoke. This one i think has for its lure its sense of quiet
