For the first time ever, I was selected by Style Korean to be one of the lucky people to review the Influencer's Favorites Set from Benton. Benton is a Korean cosmetics brand inspired by and named after the movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button wherein Benjamin Button grows younger with time. Why? Because Benton wishes to restore your skin back to its youthful condition with products made with healthy ingredients. So without any further ado, let me share to you my first impressions on the skincare products I got to try from Benton.
The Influencer's Favorites Set from Benton included products from their Snail Bee High Content line, Aloe line, Fermentation line, and Cleansing line. I'll be sharing my first impressions on each product below.
Benton Honest Cleansing Foam
This is a natural cleansing foam best suited for fatigued skin caused by stress and pollution. It not only cleanses but moisturizes the skin as well. This cleansing foam is pearly white in color and has a mild fragrance which I actually like. I only use a small amount of this cleanser and I rub it gently between my palms before cleansing my face. I like that it lathers really well and how my face feels really clean after. I have oily combination skin and I didn't feel any tightening feeling or my skin didn't feel dry after using this. Overall, I really like this cleansing foam.
Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner
This is one of the most talked about products from Benton and this is also the first ever product I have tried from this brand. My unsolved blackheads problem made me try this toner. This toner contains 0.5% salicylic acid but it is designed for daily use despite its exfoliation properties. It's also packed with aloe and snail mucin to help soothe and hydrate the skin. I have been using this for more than a month now and I have already reviewed this previously which you can read here: Quick Review: Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner. I have to say that results are very promising and I think this will be one of my HG toners now.Here's a comparison photo of my skin from before I used the Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner and after using it for a month. You be the judge.
Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence
Snail secretion filtrate has been known to be a very potent ingredient for providing the skin the moisture that it needs. So basically, this product is recommended for dehydrated and dull skin. Two pumps of this essence is already enough for the whole face. The consistency of this essence is a bit thick and the color is transparent. However, when applied to the skin, it spreads like water and gets absorbed quickly. This essence is very soothing but I'm not really sure about its moisturizing properties. Also, I researced the ingredients of this essence and I found out that this is alcohol-free. But can someone enlighten me why I can smell a little bit of alcohol in this essence?
Benton Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel
I am a fan of any product with aloe vera. Aloe is a very magical plant, isn't it? I have tried aloe vera gels from different brands and most of them had alcohol content. Since Benton's goal is to provide products made with healthy ingredients, I trust that this aloe vera gel is alcohol-free as well. And indeed, it is alcohol-free. This aloe vera gel from Benton has a thicker consistency than the others I have tried. I apply this after the Snail Bee High Content Essence and it gets absorbed really quickly too. However, I'm a bit iffy with its hydrating properties. I was expecting my face to feel hydrated especially that I applied the snail essence before this but it didn't.
Benton Fermentation Eye Cream
I haven't found my HG eye cream yet and I was hoping to find it in Benton's Fermentation Eye Cream. This eye cream contains hyaluronic acid, ceramide, and EGF. This is meant to improve wrinkles around the eye area. It has a thick and rich consistency and feels matte upon application. I haven't seen any improvements yet since I haven't quite used this for a long time but let's see. I'll continue using this until the product runs out and I'll let you know then. *wink wink*
Benton Snail Bee High Content Steam Cream
Another product from the Snail Bee High Content line is this Steam Cream. This cream is meant to moisturize the skin and keep that moisture intact. It has a rich and creamy consistency so a little goes a long way with this product. This cream is my last step in my routine to seal off everything I have applied beforehand. Upon application, the cream feels heavy but gets absorbed quickly that it feels as if I didn't apply anything on my face.
Benton Sheet Masks
- Aloe Soothing Mask - recommended for dry and tight skin that needs hydration
- Snail Bee High Content Mask - for soothing irritated skin and replenishes moisture
- Fermentation Mask - best for wrinkle care as it helps improve skin elasticity
- Goodbye Redness Centella Mask - soothes irritated skin with a lot of heat and recommended for sensitive skin
The variant I have tried as of this writing is the Goodbye Redness Centella Mask since the day I used it, I had some redness around my nose and mouth area. The mask is packed with essence that I applied the extra on my arms and legs. The sheet fits perfectly on my face too. I had this mask on for 20 minutes and my face feels so refreshed after. I also noticed that the redness was minimized too. I was amazed that it was effective in soothing the redness on my face. I will be tryring the other variants and I will update this post after trying them all.
If I have to pick a favorite from this set, obviously, it's the Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner. I have so much love for this product that I will purchase this again and again and again.
