Going out during the pandemic is risky but for our sanity's sake, we go out once in a while. We just make sure that where we're headed is not flocked by many. This was supposedly scheduled last June but due to unforeseen circumstances, it was moved to July, and thankfully, it finally pushed through. Going to San Remegio was a breeze especially if you're merely a passenger like me. Haha. It was a three to four-hour drive before we arrived at San Remegio's royal gem—Elegant Beach Resort.
It's been a while since we last spent the weekend at the beach together. And Elegant Beach Resort was a breath of fresh air. I love the abundance of palm trees and lush greens. It was very refreshing and calming. Not to mention the cool winds that gushed through our faces the moment we stepped out of the car.
Beach
I was thankful for the strong, cool winds, however, it prevented us from enjoying the beach. The waves were so strong as if the gods were mad. But goodness, our Aquarius baby didn't let the strong waves stop him. He wanted to go to the beach even if it means he had to only sit down by the shore and greet the mad waves bravely.I don't care if I wasn't picture-ready and my outfit wasn't picture-ready, the sunset was just too beautiful not to capture.
Swimming Pools
Two days at the resort and the wind was strong as ever. So 99.9% of our time at Elegant Beach Resort was spent swimming in their pools and moving from one pool to another. Yes, they have two swimming pools. The first one is an infinity pool which gives you a breathtaking view of the vast ocean. The second pool is by the resort's entrance where the mini playground is situated as well. Both their pools have kid-friendly areas. For swimmers, I'm sorry to say, the deepest they can offer is around 5ft.Accommodation
We booked a Double Room, with a double-sized bed, obviously. It's air-conditioned, has a private bathroom, and has a mini balcony facing the beach. Their Double Room costs Php 2500. Their shower wasn't working but they provided a dipper and a pail as a workaround. Their water is filtered sea water but it's okay. Aside from these and the absence of a television set, we didn't really have major issues with our room. What matters is we were able to sleep soundly. They also have a restaurant for your convenience but bringing your own food is also allowed. They have corkage fees for specific items, though. You can message them or contact them for more information. You can find their contact details at the end of this post.
We had an amazing weekend at Elegant Beach Resort and I am hoping we can go back there soon. Based on our experience, a tip I can give is to go to Elegant Beach Resort during summer to avoid the strong winds and to enjoy a calm sea. *wink*
P.S.: Sharing to you some information you might want to check out! Again, if you have questions, please contact the resort directly by calling the numbers provided at the end of this post.
