Staycation Series: UNWND Boutique Hotel Camiguin

If you're going to Camiguin and you just want a chill and laid-back vacation, I highly recommend UNWND Boutique Hotel Camiguin. It's a charming place that's nestled in the heart of Camiguin. We stayed here for three days and two nights and I super love how our entire stay felt like a retreat that we exactly needed.

STAY

Our home for three days was the spacious Luxury Double Room. The room featured two full beds, plush linens, and well-equipped toilet and bathroom. The décor was modern yet cozy which made me feel right at home. It was the perfect sanctuary for unwinding after a day of exploring Camiguin Island.

EAT

Dining at the Mamser! restaurant was an experience in itself. The food was fantastic, with a menu that celebrated local flavors and fresh ingredients. You should never miss the finger-licking good four-cheese pizza, the perfect crispy pata, the rich and dark sikwate (Filipino hot chocolate), and the beef tapa that just hits the spot.

UNWND Camiguin also houses WYP or What's Your Poison? that offers classic alcoholic beverages and their signature cocktails. I am an amaretto sour girlie and I have to say that WYP's may be the best amaretto sour that I have tried by far. And also, don't ever miss out on their famous Hubug Ka cocktail because it's the bomb! It's a special rum concocted with coconut and gosh, typing this just brings back the memories. Again, I dare say, NEVER. MISS. THE. HUBUG KA. COCKTAIL.

CHILL

UNWND Camiguin offers plenty of ways to relax and have fun. They have the Play&Lounge area, a swimming pool, a sundeck, and a jacuzzi. My favorite part has to be the sundeck which provided a view of the ocean, and lounging there was a treat, especially during sunset.

Although not in photos, the other highlights of our stay were the sundown session and open mic night, where live music created a lively yet relaxing atmosphere. It was the perfect way to end each day.



Our stay at UNWND Boutique Hotel Camiguin was nothing short of magical. From the luxurious accommodations to the delightful dining experiences and the friendly, accommodating staff, every moment was just amazing.
