My hair loss prevention journey with Bee Choo Origin

Anti Hair Loss with Bee Choo Origin
One of the challenges that I find difficult to accept with aging is hair loss. I have always had thin, fine hair but I struggled with mild-to-moderate hairfall. I'm honestly scared that this may worsen as I age, that's why I've been on the hunt for the most effective shampoo, treatment, or just anything that can help me prevent hair loss. That's when I came across the famous herbal hair treatment by Bee Choo Origin. It was last month when I messaged them on their Facebook page to inquire about their treatment. Curious and hopeful, I decided to give it a try.

Bee Choo Origin - Ayala Center Cebu

Bee Choo Origin has a number of branches here in the Philippines, and their Cebu branch is located in Ayala Center Cebu. It's on the second floor along CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice. While they accept walk-ins, with the limited staff and seats that they have, I recommend that you book an appointment to secure your slot. You can message them on their Facebook page for more information.

Bee Choo Origin Herbal Treatment

Bee Choo Origin has been a household name in Singapore, where it all started. Their award-winning herbal treatment paste is made with 100% natural herbs that is perfected to effectively address hair loss, itchy scalp, oily scalp, dandruff issues, and other scalp problems. The herbal treatment paste is available in two options:
  • Colored: If you want to add a natural pop of color, ask for the colored paste. For those who have white, grey, or light-colored hair, it may develop as a reddish-orange tint, but of course, results may vary.
  • Colorless: If you want the same scalp benefits without the touch of color, then this is for you.
I have a very dark brown (almost black) hair and I use the colored paste. I think my hair's just too dark for me to notice any difference with my hair color.

Bee Choo Origin Philippines Price List

How much is the Bee Choo Herbal Hair Treatment?
It actually depends on how many cups will be used for your treatment. One cup is PHP 1,490, two cups is PHP 1,790, and so on. I have a shoulder-length, thin hair and two cups is enough for me. If you have long, thick hair, then most likely, three or more cups will be used. When you visit the branch, their Hair Wellness Head will assess how many cups is needed for your treatment.

The Herbal Hair Treatment Process
  1. Scalp assessment: Before anything else, the therapist will assess your scalp condition. This is very helpful so you would know how to care for your hair after the treatment.
  2. Ginger hair tonic application: Next step is applying the ginger hair tonic onto your scalp and massaging it to open your pores (hair follicles). This is so your scalp can really absorb and maximize the benefits of the herbal treatment.
  3. Herbal hair treatment paste application: Then, the herbal treatment paste is applied from roots to tips. By the way, they say that their treatment paste is edible. I haven't tried it yet though. Maybe on my next session! Haha
  4. Steaming: Once your scalp and hair are fully covered with the paste, it will be plastic-wrapped, and then steamed. For colored paste, it may take 45 minutes. And around 30 minutes for colorless paste.
  5. Cool down: After steaming, the plastic wrap is slightly cut open to let the steam off and cool down your hair. This takes around 10 minutes.
  6. Wash and blow: Once your hair has cooled down, it's time to wash your hair and blowdry.
The entire process takes approximately 90 minutes (1.5 hours). Your scalp will be assessed again to check for any noticeable changes after the treatment.

Bee Choo Origin Herbal Hair Treatment - Before Photo

My scalp condition before the Bee Choo Herbal Hair Treatment:
The first time I came to Bee Choo, I learned that my scalp was oily which can actually contribute to hair fall. When the scalp overproduces sebum, the hair follicles get clogged which prevents them from functioning properly and causes the hair to fall out.

Bee Choo Origin Herbal Hair Treatment - After 1 Session

After the first session:
Immediately after the treatment, my scalp was re-assessed and I noticed a difference right away. My scalp and hair felt less oily. I honestly thought that yeah, this is normal since my hair was shampooed and conditioned. But no, the next day, even when I haven't washed my hair yet, it still didn't feel oily! I used to shampoo my hair every day but now I can live with just doing it every other day.

Bee Choo Origin Herbal Hair Treatment - After 2 Sessions

After the second session:
The hair therapist showed me that I am making progress. I was so happy to see that new hairs are growing out just after two sessions! This progress is such a great deal for me and I am excited to see more after my succeeding sessions.

Bee Choo Origin Herbal Hair Tonic for Hair Growth

Since this is just a monthly treatment, I wanted to make sure that I can do something at home to enhance the effects of the treatment. So, I bought two of their hair tonic products during my first session.

The Herbal Hair Tonic (green bottle) improves blood circulation to stimulate hair growth. It also strengthens hair follicles and improves overall scalp health. The Origin Hair Tonic (yellow bottle) boosts the hair texture and also helps improve stimulate hair growth. It also leaves the scalp feel refreshed with its menthol effect.

The hair therapist mixed the two tonics for enhanced benefits and ease of use (spray both products into my scalp at once). She helped me apply it on my scalp and gave me tips on how to do it correctly. I think these hair tonics were the great contributors for those new hairs that are growing out. I also use an anti hair loss shampoo (although not from Bee Choo) which may have also contributed to lesser hair fall.

Overall, I am really happy and excited with my hair loss prevention journey with Bee Choo and I will continue to get the herbal treatment once a month.
