My "holy grail" sunscreen products

When it comes to skincare, sunscreen is a non-negotiable essential in my routine. Over the years, I’ve tried countless sunscreen products but I'm happy that I have finally found the ones that I could say are my "holy grails". And now, I'll share to you the sunscreens that have become my go-to every day.

1. Perfect UV Sunscreen Skincare Milk

On top of my list is Anessa's Perfect UV Sunscreen Skincare Milk. I have been using this for more than three years now and I will never not repurchase this. The sunscreen milk provides a powerful SPF 50+ PA++++ protection against UV rays and is more recommended to use when doing outdoor or recreational activities. That is why I use this sunscreen only when I go to the beach or have any other outdoor activity scheduled for the day. I love that this has a lightweight formula (watery consistency) which ensures comfortable wear all day, even in hot and humid conditions.

2. Perfect UV Sunscreen Skincare Gel

Of course, coming in second is the gel version of Anessa's Perfect UV Sunscreen. I have a strong bias towards the Anessa brand. Lol. This is an excellent option for daily use, but I prefer using this during colder seasons because of its thick consistency. I love its smooth gel texture, which absorbs well into the skin and doesn't leave any sticky residue. Like the milk version, it also offers powerful protection with SPF 50+ PA++++. When I have events to attend, I prefer using this sunscreen gel because it can serve as both a moisturizer and a makeup primer.

3. Skin1004 Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum

Honestly, I only discovered this sunscreen recently when StyleKorean sent this to me. It's been two weeks since I started using this and I automatically added it to my favorite sunscreen list. I like that I no longer have to apply moisturizer before it because it can serve as a moisturizer, too. It has a thick consistency but it actually feels lightweight and non-greasy on the skin. The only thing that I do not like about this sunscreen is the silicone-like smell but it goes away after a short while.

4. Tocobo Cica Calming Sun Serum

As someone with a sensitive combination skin who's living in a tropical country, this has got to be my top favorite for daily use. I also discovered this sunscreen because of StyleKorean. The first time I used it, I instantly fell in love. It has a light consistency which makes it easy to apply and comfortable to wear throughout the day. The best part is its cooling and soothing effect, thanks to its unique ingredients like Low-Molecular-Weight Fermented Cica Complex and Aloe Leaf Extract. This sunscreen is the perfect choice for those who want sun protection without the heavy, greasy feel typical of sunscreens.
